Born Pretty Store Review

Hey girls!
Good news, a couple weeks ago I was asked by the Born Pretty Store to review some products for them. Of course I was agreed and was completely stoked! Let me start by saying they arrived super duper quick and there was no damage.

Firstly, I have some Neon Heart Studs in green.
These came in a tiny zip lock bag with a quantity of about 90? I think.. They were super easy to apply and stayed on for a while with only topcoat holding them! The only problem with these is that they're a little big, but I guess that's okay. They also GLOW under black light which I thought was amazing!!
The other item I received was some White Rose Nail Decals, although these weren't what I requested they're still very pretty!
I was very surprised about how easy they were to apply, except the instructions weren't too easy to understand so I actually Googled it. These are great because you can create different looks each time you wear them and there are no two of the same!

Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality and look of the items I was sent from the Born Pretty Store. They have also provided Me with the discount code " DLLX31 " to share with you guys! This code will give you 10% off your order, and if ten people use it i can host a giveaway :) The Born Pretty Store has a FANTASTIC range of products and I can't wait to show you more of their stuff.. Get shopping lovelies!

Powder Perfect- Fallen Chandelier & Fading Tapestry

Hi everyone,
The reason for my absence you ask? Well, I actually ran out of things to post! I try to keep this blog strictly hand made items only and well I just didn't have anything to post. That's changed now though because last week I ordered from Powder Perfect and Jacinta sent me two extra polishes to review!

First we have Fallen Chandelier, a mix of silver, gold and iridescent glitter in a clear base.
Here is one thick coat over a black. Application was easy, but you needed to move it around a bit so it didn't get too thick. There was absolutely no fishing for glitter as there is just SO much!

Next we have Fading Tapestry, a scattered red holo with small gold glitter
Here is three coats with two coats of topcoat. Application was super easy drying time was quick. Ths polish actually surprised me so much, looking at other swatches I thought it was a boring red holo. Gee, was I wrong. This gorgeous polish also dries semi textured but is also so glossy when topcoat is added. This is defiantly a favorite red of mine!
Powder perfect is becoming one of my favorite Australian brands and I can't wait to show you the other polishes I bought! Jacinta, the owner is also super sweet and is very helpful when purchasing from her. You can check out her shop by visiting http://www.powderperfect.com.au/

Cirque - Tibetan Nights

Hi girls,
Today I have a polish to show you that is a new to me brand, although it has been around for quite a while! I bought this baby from a blog sale and I don't regret a single thing!

Tibetan Nights, silver holographic hex and bar glitter in a dark blue base
Here is three thin coats with topcoat. Application was a breeze and I didn't have any trouble. I read a lot of reviews on this polish and most say that the polish is "too thin" but no way did I find this polish too thin! A lot say the glitter sinks to the bottom, I didn't have that problem either. Maybe I just got a good bottle, hey? ;)

Also, did you notice a difference in my photo? I finally bought a light box and lights and am still trying to figure it out but I am loving how better the quality is then my previous pictures! This polish was a little hard to photograph because of the base, but trust me.. It's gorgeous!

This polish is available from the Cirque website,

Shades Of Phoenix Mother Is God 2.0

Hey everyone,
Long time no post! I've been fairly busy lately with school starting back up again and the summer heat lately and just haven't been bothered to blog. I also ran out of indies to post about ( Nooo! ) but I found an old polish of mine that I haven't swatched yet so here it is..

Mother Is God 2.0 is a plum like creme base with rose coloured large holo hexes and small pink glitters.
Here is just TWO coats with topcoat! Application was so good I didn't even have to do any clean up, it really was a dream to apply. The bigger glitter didn't come out as much as the small hex but it gave the polish a nice sparse effect. I really liked this more then I thought I would!

Unfortunately this polish isn't available for purchase anymore which is such a shame because its gorgeous and such a unique polish. However, Shades Of Phoenix offer a lot of great polishes so make sure to check out their store by visiting http://shadesofphoenix.bigcartel.com/

Gloss n Sparkle Goblins Grave

Hey girls,
Well well well, I haven't posted in over a week :o silly me! I've been so busy lately and just haven't been able to sit down and write down a review but I did this swatch a couple of days ago! Before I start, I'd like to say this is my first polish from this brand and I have no idea why I took so long to purchase from Gloss n Sparkle.

Goblin’s Grave is a dark green jelly base with lime, turquoise and charcoal holographic, and black hex glitter
Here is two coats over a green undie. The polish is very sheer and I tried it by itself but after 4 coats there was still vnl that I didn't like. The glitter is dense and made application a little tricky but it's still workable! This polish is absolutely beautiful :)

Unfortunately this polish isn't available anymore but you HAVE to check out all the other beautiful polishes, wax melts and yummy cuticle cream Gloss N Sparkle has to offer. You can take a look on her Internet page http://www.glossnsparkle.net/

Peita's Polish Labels Or Love

Hey girls,
Today I have my first polish from Peita's Polish to show you all today! Yet again, like last time this polish was from the What's In-die box and is no longer available for purchase which is a same because this one is GORGEOUS!

Labels Or Love is a total glitter bomb! - hex, circle, square & heart glitter in a very sheer pink/red base.
Here is 2 coats over a red undie.. Can you see how much glitter comes out of that bottle?! The application was excellent, no fishing for glitter and it went on so easy. The brush was perfect too. It's wide and picks up all the gorgeous glitter very well! Considering the amount of glitter it dried relatively smooth with no glitter sticking up and catching onto anything. This baby is so sparkly and pretty in the sun & I totally adore it! Sooo cute too
Like I said, this polish isn't available anymore :( BUT you can still check out all of the other polishes Peita's Polish has to offer. I know I'll be making an order very soon, click hereto take a look.

Arcane Lacquer - Allhallows Eve

Hi girls,
Yay, nail post! Today I'll be showing you a polish that I bought in a blog sale a while ago. Before I show you this polish, I just want to say that it is no longer up for sale. It was included in the ' What's Indie Box ' for October. It's a box that has 5 indies that are exclusive to that months box. Anyway, let's go..

Allhallows Eve, a unique mix of metallic square and hex glitter in a black jelly base.
Here is 4 thin coats with Seche Vite topcoat. The polish application was really good, there was so fishing for glitters and it went on very smoothly. The base is a little thin but it doesn't effect the application in anyway. I love how all the glitter just pops in the sun, but then again I love colored glitter in a black base!

As you can tell, I absolutely LOVE this polish. It's actually meant to be a Halloween polish, but I don't see anything scary about it ;) hahaha. You could wear this anytime of the year, it's just so pretty. As I said, this polish is no longer available but Arcane Lacquer has a lot of other gorgeous polishes in range. You can check them out by clicking here..

It's Been A Year!

Hi girls,
No new nail posts today but I have some very exciting news to share with you all, I'm very happy to announce it's been a YEAR since I started doing nail art. I joined Instagram early Jan 2013 and posted one of my very first mani's that week.

Since one of the first mani's was a New Years resolution, I thought, why not try and recreate the look. Funny story really, my 2013 resolution is my 2014 resolution as well - continue getting good grades at school so I can work towards having a career as a Forensic Scientist when I'm older.

Here's my art work back in Jan 2013;
Eeek, embarrassing right? Horrible lighting, awkward hand pose, yucky cuticles, poor application skills and the art is just horrible! Yuck

Here is my recreation, 6th Jan 2014;
Ahh, so much better! Good lighting, better hand pose, nice cuticles, good clean up and my skills have improved so much.

I can't believe how different these mani's are and they're only one year apart! Can you imagine another comparison picture in another year or two? I love how I can look back at old pictures and try to figure out what I need to improve on in the future. In saying that, this year I want to try more detailed art and get the bad thoughts out of my head and tell myself " I CAN DO IT! ".

Thankyou to everyone who has supported me this past year. It's crazy to think that I, a 14 year old, joined Instagram as @nailpolishaddicted1 a year ago to hide her passion from her friends is now showing her love to over 3300 followers around the world. Thankyou so much everyone for a fantastic year, I can't wait to see what 2014 will bring!

Emily De Molly When Planets Collide

Hi girls,
It's finally 2014! Today I'll be showing you my first swatch of the year with a polish from Emily De Molly.  I bought this from a Blog Sale and this polish isn't available for purchase anymore :(

When Planets Collide, a mix of blue and orange glitter in a sheer black base.
Here is two coats over a black with topcoat. The base is really sheer, which is why I layered over a base colour. I did try it alone but it got really thick and was still patchy after 4 coats. I really like it like this anyway! Application was pretty good, not many of the orange glitter came out but it gives it a sparse look.
Emily De Molly has a great range of other colours and a variety of stamping plates, you can check them out by clicking here. Hayley is having a sale on her stamping plates so make sure to have a look at them too!
